The General Hospital recap for Monday, January 7 features a very sad day for Oscar, Joss, and his parents.
The day started out well for Oscar (Garren Stitt) as he prepared to go home and even made plans with Joss (Eden McCoy) for the first day of summer.
Then, Terry let Kim (Tamara Braun) know that Oscar’s test results were in and Kim quickly asked Drew (Billy Miller) to head back to the hospital.
It seems rather than Oscar’s tumor shrinking, it grew and was more inoperable than ever. Terry had to inform the devastated parents that the trial didn’t work and Oscar would die.
Kim wanted to wait to tell Oscar, but Drew reminded her they promised to be open and honest with him. So, they told both Joss and Oscar and the kids’ faces went white.
Before Kim called Drew over, he was busy berating Julian (William deVry) at Charlie’s Pub. Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) happened in and realized that Julian let Kim and Drew believe that he and Alexis slept together on New Year’s Eve.

Sam (Kelly Monaco) became obsessed with finding out what’s up with Shiloh, and she and Jason (Steve Burton) were shocked to learn the life reinforcement company he owns was registered to the son of one of Sam’s ex-husband’s.
This made Sam realize she’s somehow at the center of this mess as everyone the cult ensnares is somehow related to her.
Finally, Laura (Genie Francis) had quite an encounter with Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) at the boxing gym as he unconsciously twisted boxing glove laces around his hands, practically cutting off his circulation.
When Ryan wanted to reveal something shocking to Laura, Scotty (Kin Shriner) showed up and spouted off how the cops think they have a Ryan Chamberlain copycat killer on their hands.
