The General Hospital recap (GH) for Tuesday, August 14 features a victory for women and the choices they’re allowed to make in life regarding their own body.

The Jury Reached A Verdict
In her closing arguments, Alexis (Nancy Grahn) said that the affair between Griffin and Kiki was irrelevant to the matter of Kiki and Dr. Bensch. She explained that Kiki and Griffin had a consensual relationship and a grown woman is allowed to choose who she has sex with.

Scotty’s closing argument, on the other hand, was less than compelling, because — as Scotty later said — he isn’t obligated to believe him, and frankly, he doesn’t.

Ultimately, the jury found in favor of Kiki and awarded her $250,000 in damages. Kiki was happy but made clear that it was never about the money, but showing that Bensch wouldn’t be able to bully others around.

Ava Demanded Blood
Franco (Roger Howarth) and Ava (Maura West) came to a head, and Ava revealed that she tried to torpedo Kiki’s case by insisting that Scotty (Kin Shriner) question Griffin (Matt Cohen) about his affair. Ava’s on the warpath and let Griffin know.

Then, she decided to show Monica the matter of Peter’s DNA tests.

Finn and Anna Put Their Heads Together
Finn (Michael Easton) and Anna (Finola Hughes) were tasked with reviving Cassandra Pierce.

They were told that if they both do their part, they’ll be released unharmed. Finn realized that the only way they’ll get out is if he revives Cassandra, but he’d have to keep her awake in Port Charles.

Meanwhile, Robert (Tristan Rogers) told Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) about Anna being “bait” for Finn — or vice versa — but played dumb. Valentin also made clear that he preferred to see Cassandra in a coma for her scheming ways.

Carly and Monica Made Peace
Carly (Laura Wright) discussed the plans for the baby’s funeral with Michael (Chad Duell). Monica apologized to Carly, but Carly said that the only person to blame for all that happened is Nelle. She then told Michael that he was returning to work too soon after the tragedy.
