The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, September 22, 2020, features Dante being set up for failure, Alexis getting a wake-up call, Maxie getting her flirt on, and trouble for Ava and Nikolas’ budding romance.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Thanks to the machinations of his psychiatrist, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was briefly led to believe that the offer to release him on assignment to Port Charles had been rescinded.

However, since Dante failed to react violently to the bait and switch, he was informed of the test he had just been subjected to. A test which he passed with flying colors. Port Charles, here Dante comes.

But he’s leaving Geneva without the confidence of his doctor who privately informed his superior that Dante was in no fit shape to be released. But whatever the head of the WSB wants, the head of the WSB gets…whoever they may be. (Wasn’t that Frisco Jones the last we heard?)

Priorities

As far as Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is concerned, the world will just have to forgive her if she seems a little bit frazzled. Between Neil’s (Joe Flanigan) death, his upcoming memorial, and her weakened bones, she’s a bit out of sorts.

Molly (Haley Pullos) thinks her mother is in need of a little mothering herself. Sam (Kelly Monaco) wants to fight the world on her behalf. And Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) thinks that she either needs to stop wallowing in her own misery or go whole hog and just begin to plan her funeral.

Turns out, Alexis needed Valentin’s tough love. Oh, and she needed access to his car and driver. She’s decided to attend Neil’s wake and attempt to discover more about the man she’ll never see again.

Chemistry Test

Maxie (Kirsten Storms) was not in the least bit pleased to learn that Brando (Johnny Wactor) had yet to fix her car. But seeing as how he had been holed up in the hospital, she decided to let the transgression slide…and pump him for information about his private life.

No, he isn’t seeing anyone. Yes, he might like to have a child one day (well “more” children – we must not forget that he’s Dev’s pretend papa). And yes, he does have excellent chemistry with Maxie. Looks like she won’t go wanting for a man once Peter’s villainy has been uncovered.

And just when it seemed like both Ava (Maura West) and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) were heading in the right direction, their pasts came back to haunt them. Both received text messages from a mystery someone with proof positive of their kiss with Franco (Roger Howarth) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) respectively. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
