The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, April 22, 2020, features heartache for Willow and Michael, an ambush for Alexis, a spot of bonding between Nelle and Nina and a troubling development for Mike.

General Hospital Recap Highlight

Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) met Michael (Chad Duell) at Charlie’s and blurted out that Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Chase (Josh Swickard) were having an affair. At first, Michael was too stunned to take her seriously.

But when she confessed to walking in on the pair in the early stages of a tryst, Michael accepted the fact that he had lost his girlfriend. The two commiserated and attempted to uncover why the affair had started in the first place.

Surely, it was because neither Chase nor Sasha was at the same point in their lives as the far more mature Michael and Willow. Remember when we said Willow wasn’t the sharpest knife in the stand? At least she has company!

Afterward, Michael insisted on renting Willow a room at the Metro Court and then he headed over to Chase’s to tell him what a “son of a bitch” he was and then shove him like a petulant schoolboy. Chase cried.

Two Peas In A Pod

Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Nelle (Chloe Lanier) both found common ground – each wanted a swing when they were younger. Nelle’s (supposed) yearning for a home filled with love endeared her to Nina who offered some unsolicited advice: work with Michael and come to a compromise concerning Wiley’s custody.

Later, Willow attempted to make nice with Nina and let slip about Chase and Sasha’s affair – information that an eavesdropping Nelle lapped up.

Alexis: Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But

Alexis‘ (Nancy Lee Grahn) lunch date with Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) proved to be a set up arranged by Sam (Kelly Monaco). At the women’s urging, Alexis admitted to her plethora of troubles.

First, there was the fall from the wagon, which was linked to her sleeping with Neil (Joe Flanigan) and then lying about it. And she couldn’t forget the fact that both Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Julian (William deVry) have rumbled her secret.

A Troubling Development

Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) visited Mike (Max Gail) at Turning Woods and quickly deduced that his condition had deteriorated to the point that he’s struggling with a task as simple as sipping water from a straw.

She cautioned Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he should arrange for palliative care – Mike is fading, fast, and his condition will only worsen. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
