The General Hospital recap for Monday, March 11 features Ava’s heart-wrenching realization of just what happened to her the last five months.
Jason (Steve Burton) managed to grab Ava’s (Maura West) hand the same way he grabbed onto Baby Danny when Crazy Heather tried to toss them both off the hospital roof. However, he didn’t bother rescuing Ryan.
The cops figured he must be dead and Laura (Genie Francis) was relieved because he didn’t just come back from the dead. (Help us here, GH.)
But, now it was time for Laura to explain to Ava what happened and Ava insisted she knew what happened.
Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) must have switched places with Kevin the night before when he suggested they elope to Canada. She was horrified she slept with him, but then Laura had to slowly make her realize the rest.
She had been with Ryan the whole time. Laura broke it all as gently as she could, but Ava broke when she finally accepted the man who loved her and cherished herself was a serial killer. And then it hit her and she wailed “Kiki” as Laura held her.

Meanwhile, Carly (Laura Wright) was nearby doing her best to climb that border wall. She almost had it, but fell backwards again. But, Jason wasn’t about to give up. Laura told him to leave her and Ava and find Carly and that’s exactly what Jason did.
Back in Port Charles, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) called Finn (Michael Easton) to talk her down from taking a drink. He arrived with a bag of tricks (and card games and Jenga) to distract her, and Alexis just admitted she has no desire for the current, norma Julian.
She had to confess she wants the bad and dangerous one she had a one-night standing with in the backseat of a car as a teen. Yep, that Julian (William deVry).
At the hospital, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) told Franco (Roger Howarth) that she couldn’t depend on him not to lie anymore. Franco was devastated when he felt she might end it and while alone, he went through photos of their family on his phone.
Meanwhile, Liz told off Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) for what she did to Franco and Jordan (in a non-kind tone) told her maybe she shouldn’t be with a reformed serial killer.
