Like most parents in today’s “new normal” of homeschooling and spending all hours of the day with their kids, General Hospital’s Lisa LoCicero is learning that things have changed from the time she was younger… especially when it comes to toys.
Lisa LoCicero Calls Out THIS Toy
On her Twitter page, the actress who plays Olivia Falconeri Quartermain posted a photo of her young daughter messily playing with some blue slime—which is all the rage among youngsters.
“I am old. I’ve lived thru the ez bake oven, snoopy snocone maker, 2XL quiz robot.. those shitty looms for making pot holders out of polyester loops… I can tell you the slime kit is the worst toy in history,” she wrote.
But as a loving parent, LoCicero knows she needs to keep her daughter entertained any way possible during these troubling times, and any time away from electronics is considered a win in most parents’ handbooks these days. Still, she wishes there were some better—and less messy!—options for toys available!
Later, responding to posts from other parents commiserating with her, LoCicero talks about other toys, signaling out a latch-hook kit and Lite Brite, complaining that the pegs don’t stay in the newer versions of the toy. “[T]hey aren’t slanted.. and kids have no patience for that kind of thing [a]nymore,” she wrote.
Still, the actress knows just what to do with the slime and unwanted toys, telling a fan just where they will eventually wind up: “In a pile to go to goodwill when the world reopens!!”
Of course, her GH alter-ego Olivia would probably love nothing more than to enjoy some quality “slime time” with her son Dante and grandson Rocco, as she helplessly watches Rocco cozy up to a new man in Lulu’s life. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
