General Hospital’s Alexis may not have that much of a sense of humor, but her portrayer Nancy Lee Grahn consistently shows fans that she has a playful side.

Nancy Lee Grahn Hosts Daytime Greats

The actress recently posted a humorous video on YouTube, which she calls the “COVID Support Group,” co-hosted by her bestie Kaore Bonell. Joining them in the “support group” are ex-daytimers and soap legends Kim Zimmer and Jane Elliot.

The video begins with the women known best as GH’s Tracy Quartermaine and Guiding Light’s former Reva Shayne throwing zingers at one another—Elliot about Zimmer’s drinking, and Zimmer about Elliot’s voice.

Kaore tries to take some control and learns that Elliot is upset about something she told Grahn in confidence that she posted on Twitter. Zimmer guesses it has something to do with her grandchildren’s singing, but Elliot admits she told that to a soap publication. When asked for an answer, Grahn notes she was told not to answer “without counsel present,” prompting former OJ Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark to hop on the call.

Elliott eventually reveals that the mysterious Tweet concerns her never getting out of her robe, and when pressed by Elliot if that’s true, is advised by Clark not to answer.

“I have devoted my career to being seen as a professional, and I have worked very hard at it,” Elliott said, wearing a nice fluffy robe. “I did not choose to have it undone by a twa…Tweet.”

Grahn changed the narrative by dog-horning a group of Girl Scouts because “they were selling cookies and not wiping down their boxes.” Zimmer adds that she was forced to throw a drink in the face of a frat boy who was inconvenienced by wearing a mask. Grahn than talks about a little run-in she had with a guy hoarding toilet paper at CVS, and throws a little jab at the Emmys in the process.

This is the second of these videos that Grahn has co-written with Bonell, hoping to help fans cope through this difficult time of living in a COVID-19 world. While it’s always great to see this trio of actresses share some screen time, it would be wonderful for one of the daytime shows to bring Zimmer and Elliot back to our living rooms on a regular basis. Imagine the fun they would all have together in Port Charles. See the whole video below. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
