The General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, January 22 features Sam and Drew making it legal–despite her hesitancy to do so.
Welp, She Did It
With all the memories Sam (Kelly Monaco) has been having of Jason (Steve Burton), one couldn’t be sure she’d go through with this wedding to Drew (Billy Miller), but she did. It was a sweet ceremony with just close family and friends. And, before the ceremony, Monica (Leslie Charleson) asked to formally adopt Drew.
Curtis (Donnell Turner) served as best man, solidifying their friendship and Molly (Haley Pullos) was maid of honor. Danny was the ring bearer, but Scout must have been taking a nap and we guess she couldn’t wake to see her parents wed.
Meanwhile, Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) did his best to talk Jason into stopping the wedding, but it didn’t work. Jason chose to be the chivalrous one and then spent the rest of the day remembering his time with Sam, including their time together on New Year’s Eve.
None of them even realized how much they had to worry about Faison (Anders Hove) now that he has Obrecht. Anna (Finola Hughes) fought with Sonny (Maurice Benard) over how to handle the madman but was surprised to see Liesl (Kathleen Gati) gone when she got home. Liesl, in turn, was surprised to see Faison.
Laura (Genie Francis) shocked Lulu (Emme Rylan) when she said she was going to drop out of the mayoral race, and Ned (Wally Kurth) was pretty stunned too when he apologized for how nasty the race had become.
Laura then offered Ned her endorsement if he agreed to specific terms. He was honest and said he couldn’t agree, and there was no endorsement. Instead, she suggested to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) that she run.
