Between the three of them, the Jerome siblings have sent a not unimpressive number of Port Charles citizens to General Hospital. When asking, who is your favorite, it’s more a case of asking, which one do you hate the least? On the other hand, there is also the whom do you love to hate most aspect.
Like Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), when it comes to justifying Julian’s (William deVry) past actions, a nice pair of abs go a long way towards convincing 62% of you that he’s totes aces. Forget the people he’s killed, the drug pushing, the kidnapping, the jail-time (you do where Sonny is concerned, so what’s the difference?). Just look at the pretty, and ignore the seeping blood….
Maybe it’s residual Ryan’s Hope nostalgia, maybe it’s fondness for Maura West’s previous As the World Turns stint, but 25% of viewers picked Ava as their favorite Jerome. Forget shooting Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), killing Connie, trying to kill AJ, kidnapping Franco, shoving a dead man off a pier, lying about her daughter’s paternity, and having sex with Sonny (Maurice Benard). She looks lovely in jewel tones.
She’s been off the canvas for 27 years, but Olivia’s (Tonja Walker) 2017 return prompted 12% of ’80s GH fans to name her their Number One. For newer viewers, Olivia’s rap sheet includes kidnapping Robin (Kimberly McCullough), trying to kill Duke (Ian Buchanan), and causing Anna (Finola Hughes) to miscarry. She also had her brother Julian shot, then he shot her.
Olivia was presumed dead. So was Julian. So was Duke. And Anna. And Robin. Nope, nope, nope, nope and nope. So why should anyone be surprised that Olivia is back? The bigger surprise will be what she’s back for. And once we find out, will she still remain your favorite?
