General Hospital Diagnosis: Lucy Coe Should Have Figured This One Out

It looks like the Ryan Chamberlin/Kevin Collins switcheroo storyline might be coming to its February sweeps wind up as a little bell went off in Laura’s head while she was talking to (and berating) Franco this week. .

However, some fans thought that three people were noticeably missing from this story — the three people (besides Laura) who know Kevin best. They are Lucy Coe, Felicia and Mac Scorpio. (Remember, Ryan’s obsession was Felicia the last time around, and Lucy was married to Kevin longer than anyone.)

Lynn Herring, who plays Lucy Coe, seems to agree with this assessment and she let us know it on Twitter.

She made a point to re-tweet a photo from the GH Twitter account of herself, John J. York (Mac), and Kristina Wagner (Felicia). GH rightly called them icons, but Herring apparently had a bone to pick when she saw the snap.

“Love these two!!  But we have some ‘splaining to do. We should have been able to figure out this Ryan business, us icons.”

Yes, like many fans have been saying all along. How did Lucy of all people pretty much ignore the strange behaviors coming from her “doc”? And, how did Felicia not realize this man she socialized with regularly was the man who tortured her all those years ago?

Once Ryan spotted Ava, that was apparently it for Felicia. He thought Ava was Felicia from the back of the head, and when he learned Felicia was a grandmother, that was it. He was all about Ava and there was no looking back.

Soap Hub still thinks there were some missed opportunities here and we do hope we get some post-mortem (so to speak) scenes with Lucy, Felicia, and Mac confronting their old mortal enemy.

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for airtimes.
