Election day in the United States is this coming Tuesday but people have been engaging in early voting, sending vote-by-mail ballots in for the weeks, and General Hospital alum Anthony Montgomery is one of those taking part. In fact, the actor took the opportunity to show his son how important using your voice to vote is.

Anthony Montgomery Teaches His Son

The actor who played Dr. Andre Maddox off and on between 2015 and 2020, and spent several seasons on Star Trek: Enterprise, took to his Instagram account to show an amazing picture of himself with his son exercising his right to vote.

“My #prince only has two more presidential elections and he’ll be voting,” said the proud father. “It’ll be here before we know it. Teaching him early that his voice matters, that his vote matters. Please #vote #democracy #unite #us.”

Montgomery is absolutely right in teaching his son the importance while he’s young so he’ll be a lifelong voter. General Hospital wants to bring that fact home as well and is devoting Monday’s episode to this very fact with Eden McCoy’s character, Joss, as well as Sydney Mikayla’s Trina. The two will go back in time to learn this important lesson.

As for Montgomery, he needs no reminder or instruction as to how precious this right truly is. “By the way, my mom told me it took her and my sister four and a half hours to vote in my hometown of Indianapolis. But they did it! Please make sure you vote.🙏🏾”

The actor has been very busy in 2020, during his time away from Port Charles. He was in the film Who Wants Me Dead? with fellow daytimers Robert Adamson (Noah, The Young and the Restless) and Jade Harlow (ex-Sheryl, Days of our Lives). He also appears in Unbelievable!!!!! with many other stars from the Star Trek universe, as well as Snoop Dogg.

As for Andre, now that Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) has been revealed to be investigating the mind-mapping experiments, could a return visit from the good doc happen? Stay tuned to see. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
