A former daytime star landed an exciting new role on an intergalactic, new Netflix series.
Ignacio Serricchio (ex-Alex, Y&R; ex-Diego, GH) is set to star in Lost in Space along with Parker Posey (ex-Tess, ATWT), according to Deadline Hollywood. In the new show, Serrichio portrays Don West, the role Mark Goddard played in the CBS television series during the 1960s.
The remake centers around the Robinsons. Don West, a roughneck whose side gig is smuggling luxury goods, finds a family of his own in the Robinsons.

Parker Posey plays a female version of Dr. Smith, who was a male character in the original Lost in Space series.
