Marian in Port Charles? Jennifer Bassey Headed To General Hospital (GH)

Former All My Children stalwart, Jennifer Bassey (ex-Marian Colby), is headed to General Hospital (GH).

An inside source at the show confirmed the news to Soap Opera Digest. Exactly who she will play and when she starts is still unknown.

On AMC, she rose to fame as the original cougar, bedding her daughter Liza’s (Marcy Walker) boyfriend, Tad “The Cad” Martin (Michael E. Knight). Fans who also watch GH are probably clamoring for her to bring Marian to Port Charles.

It could be loads of fun to see which man in Port Charles might catch her eye. Marian did enjoy a lengthy marriage with Pine Valley’s age-appropriate and tender-hearted Stuart Chandler (the late David Canary). Would she be a recent widow?

If it turns out she’s creating a new character, perhaps she could be a long-lost Quartermaine heir. Could Hayden (Rebecca Budig) maybe get getting a grandmother? Perhaps Finn (Michael Easton) is getting a family? Obviously anything can happen.

On the personal front, the actress lost her husband of 30 years, Luther Davis, in 2008 but has found love again. She is engaged to actor/playwright George Bamford and the two have been traveling the world together (see her tweet below).
