And we thought Original Jason would be on a slow boat from Russia for weeks on General Hospital (GH), making his way back to Port Charles just in time for November sweeps. Boy, were we ever wrong, and boy are we glad.
This story is moving at a breakneck speed we never expected and placing Ava right in the middle of the whole thing makes it a joy to watch cause…well…Ava.
The “rapport” developed over in Russia as Ava (Maura West) prattled on about anything and everything and ‘Patient 6’ sat there like the Stone Cold dude he remains as the pair is now roomies and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Even when Griffin (Matt Cohen) comes a-calling, he’ll know this guy, but like Ava, he’ll have no idea who he is.
Today was just another one of those days where anything that came into Ava’s head came out of her mouth, and everything that popped into Original Jason’s (Steve Burton) head pretty much stayed there. Seems like old times.
Rather than weeks of Original Jason thinking Sam (Kelly Monaco) moved on without him, he now knows Sam thinks she’s right there with him.

And, thanks to Ava, he even understands why. And, who didn’t get a kick out of the part where she left out the tidbit that SHE is the one who ran down the other Jason (Billy Miller) with her car? Such classic Ava.
This can seriously go on for weeks with Ava having no idea who her new buddy is, but with the speed this story’s racing at, it could be tomorrow. And, oh how delicious that will be. Ava loves being privy to information nobody else has, and being Sam’s aunt, what fun info for her to have.
And, let’s not forget about Sonny (Maurice Benard). Wouldn’t Ava LOVE to keep this secret to herself? That SHE has his precious Jason, and he can’t have him.
While we still don’t have confirmation on which man really is Jason (they both have his Morgan Years memories), we still contend they both are. One was raised a Q from the age of 3, one woke up in GH in 1997 having no idea who anyone was around him. Having Ava in the middle of all this juicy story goodness is just the icing on top.
