General Hospital’s Britt met the new hunky doctor in town, and in true fashion, she did not make the best first impression. Instead, she was the Britch in all her glory. Britt’s actions and behavior are not about her returning to her old ways but rather her desperate need to feel at home.

Key Takeaways

  • Britt had a run-in with Tristan.
  • Isaiah stepped in to save Britt from herself.
  • Britt’s second chance has left her adrift.

The Britch Returned

In the July 14 episode of GH, Britt continued on her downward spiral. Ever since she learned that she didn’t have Huntington’s disease, Britt has resumed being the Britch.

Lucas (Van Hansis) saw it firsthand after Britt couldn’t get into her room at Bobbies and accused him of setting her up. Their newfound friendship took a hit instantly.

That was nothing, though, compared to Britt losing her mind on Tristan (Dean Geyer, who just shared the moment he felt he belonged on the show) when she learned he was the new tenant in her room. Iasiah (Sawandi Wilson) stepped in to force Britt to see the reality of the situation. It was not Tristan’s fault that she lost the room.

What Britt Needs The Most

Britt spent years preparing to die and doing horrible things to keep it from happening too soon. Getting a new lease on life has left her struggling to reconnect with her old life, the one she had before she was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease.

Although her time in Port Charles has been filled with drama, it became home to Britt before she thought she was sick. The little family and friends she has there meant the world to her and made it her home, something she wanted all her life.

Isaiah gave Britt something to think about when he admitted he was looking forward to her delivering Portia’s (Brook Kerr) baby. The doctor couldn’t care less about Britt’s personal life but values her as a fellow physician. It was a huge compliment and should have helped her.

Unfortunately, soon the Tristan room fiasco followed. When Isaiah smoothed that situation over, it revealed to Britt that she just might have someone on her side. Isaiah has given her a way to connect with someone, even if it is on a work level.

Once Britt can find any real connection, it will start to make her feel like she belongs. Then she can start to feel at home again.

Britt has always wanted to feel like she had a home and belonged. She never goes about it the right way. Britt is her own worst enemy for sure, which means that sense of home won’t come easily or quickly for her.
