When Luke walked off into the fog nearly two years ago, we thought that was the last we’d see of Tony Geary and Luke Spencer on General Hospital (GH). Happily, we were wrong.
Now that Luke’s other other half–not Laura, but Tracy–is leaving the show due to Jane Elliot’s retirement, it seems Luke will return to help see her off.
A few weeks back, actress Carolyn Hennesy posted a photo to social media featuring herself, Geary, and Executive Producer Frank Valentini, but it wasn’t clear if the actor was there for Elliot’s goodbye party or whether he actually makes an appearance.
According to the May 8 issue of Soap Opera Digest, Geary does indeed put in a cameo appearance on Elliot and Tracy’s last day, Thursday, May 4.

“We always thought that he would figure into Tracy’s future,” Head Writer Jean Passanante told Digest.
When she learned that Geary had agreed to appear she said, “We were thrilled! We didn’t know if it would be a possibility at all.” Since it did become a possibility, she said Luke shows up on Tracy’s final GH hour “in a surprising way.”
Hmmm, that leaves the wheels turning in Soap Hub’s head. Does Luke come back and whisk Tracy out of town? Does he appear in a dream? Does she run into him wherever she happens to go? We guess we’ll have to tune in to find out, and being old time soap fans, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
