They tried to repair their relationship, but the new Jason wasn’t interested. Their hearts were broken, and Alan died while things were still unresolved. Jason later regretted that he never made peace with his father.

Although the mother/son relationship was repaired, Monica was never able to see who Jason is now. She would have given anything to have the bond with her son that he has with Tracy. It is so unfortunate that Jason’s change came too late for his parents.
