General Hospital‘s Lulu can always turn to her mom for good advice. Laura has been through it all and is always honest with her daughter, even when she is feeling sorry for herself.

Key Takeaways

  • Lulu has given up on Dante and on love.
  • She went to her mom for advice.
  • Laura knows from experience that you can have more than one great love.

No Love For Lulu?

Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna – who doesn’t want to force Dante and Liz’s chemistry) had one of those epic soap romances that we hoped would last forever. Alas, they rarely do. Dante ran off to a job for the WSB, and when he finally returned, he was no longer the husband Lulu remembered. He asked for a divorce and left for treatment.

Lulu moved on with Dustin (Mark Lawson), but was still in love with Dante when she slipped into a coma. She awoke to a world where the love of her life was engaged to Sam (Kelly Monaco), who had recently passed away. Then she had a short and deceitful relationship with Nathan/Cassius (Ryan Paevey). The truth about him really threw her for a loop and left her feeling down.

She turned to her mom because she believed she had lost her chance at love. Laura (Genie Francis) was, as always, the voice of reason.

Laura’s Advice For Lulu

After years of hoping, Lulu no longer believes that she and Dante will reunite and live happily ever after. They have become friends who will peacefully co-parent Rocco (Finn Carr), but their love story may have ended. This has made her believe that her chance at lasting love is also over.

Her mom has had two great loves in her life, Luke (Anthony Geary) and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom). She pointed this out to her daughter as an example of a life with more than one great love. She and Luke had an exciting, fun, and sometimes dangerous young love. They married and had children, but ultimately split up. On the other hand, her love and life with Kevin are more settled and mature.

Laura, being older and wiser, understands how her daughter has lost hope after Dante, but knows that this is not the end. The relationship with Nathan/Cassius spooked her, but she will recover and eventually move on. Another love may be just around the corner for Lulu.

Unfortunately, it looks as if Laura is in for bad news concerning her own marriage. Do you think Lulu will find love again?
