General Hospital Catfight: Lulu and Val’s Fight to the Finish

It looks like Lulu’s finally lost it all on General Hospital and realizes she only has herself to blame.

For months, we’ve sat by not knowing whose side to take as Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) marriage imploded with Valerie (Brytni Sarpy)always there to wipe the poor husband’s proverbial tears. She looked like an interloper from the very start and we felt sympathy for Lulu.

However, as Lulu became fixated on Valerie after her cousin’s affair with Dante was exposed on Halloween, we could see this wasn’t going to end well for her. When ex-lover Johnny Zacchara (Brandon Barash) swept back into town and onto her boat, it all went downhill from there.

“Get rid of Valerie.” That’s all Lulu asked, but she asked it of a criminal and fugitive, not realizing what get rid of Valerie could actually mean. No, Johnny never meant for Val to burn to a crisp in that cabin as that fire was an accident, but with Johnny around, Lulu had to know things wouldn’t end well.

And, they certainly did not. Yesterday, all that anger both women felt brewing for months finally came to a head as Lulu blew her top and Valerie had enough. One slap was all it took for a little Port Charles catfight to ensue, exposing Lulu’s lies as Dante came upon them.

Ok, we admit it–the fight was fun to watch. Valerie had spunk today and told it like it is and we finally decided to root for her, something we could never do before. Lulu made a mess of things, that’s for sure, but Valerie came into her own today and we look forward to seeing where it all goes for both Spencer women.
