General Hospital‘s Lulu hasn’t been a fan favorite since waking up from her coma. The article that she wrote about Willow may be the change the character needs.
Key Takeaways
- Fans miss the old Lulu.
- Lulu discovered the truth about Drew’s stroke.
- Willow is suing her.
- She is standing up to Willow and will not retract her story.
The Recent Lulu
Lulu (Alexa Havens) emerged from a years-long coma as if she had just woken up from a nap. She escaped from the hospital and made her way back to Port Charles without missing a beat.
Lulu was still in love with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), but he was mourning Sam (Kelly Monaco). Her focus became her children, which was great, but her overprotectiveness sometimes pushed them away.
Lulu’s short love story with Nathan/Cassius (Ryan Paevey) didn’t feel like the old Lulu. Many fans didn’t believe she would have ever betrayed Maxi (Kirsten Storms). They were missing the old Lulu’s spunk.
Lulu’s Discovery
Lulu did not expect to hear what she did when she snuck into Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) room. He revealed the whole truth; Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) kept Drew (Cameron) in a locked-in state using drugs that he provided her.
Lulu then sneakily convinced Drew to allow her access to his medical records, which led to Lucas (Van Hansis) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) to spill the beans. The two were suspicious because Brennan (Chris McKenna) suffered the same rare stroke in the same house.
Lulu put the pieces together, wrote an article, and the truth was out. Her problems began when Willow, Sidwell, and Drew all denied her allegations. Now Willow is suing her, and for the moment, it looks like the congresswoman has the upper hand.
Lulu is not backing down. Willow asked her for a retraction in return for dropping the libel suit, but she refused. This may be the Lulu we have been waiting for. She is a Spencer, and she will not back down, just like her parents. Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis) might be the ones to finally take Willow down, and maybe Drew along with her.
Do you see signs of the old Lulu? Do you think she will beat Willow?
