When it comes to General Hospital, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the GH week that was.
General Hospital: The Critic’s POV
It’s probably going to come as no surprise to you I think that Jane Elliot [Tracy Elliot] ran away with the show — and not just Thursday and Friday’s episodes, but the whole darn show.
If you can find someone who did better, let me know in the comments below (and if you plan to say Sofia Mattsson [Sasha Gilmore], I’ll have to admit that I don’t see a lie being told!).
Further GH Musings
* And here I thought that Gregory (Gregory Harrison) having ALS was about Gregory, when Gregory having ALS was clearly all about Finn (Michael Easton). My mistake.
* Cody, Cody, Cody…the unamused emoji was made specifically for use when discussing your tomfoolery.
* Did my ears deceive me, or did Austin’s (Roger Howarth) and Mason’s (Nathanyael Grey) boss undergo a sex change between the last time he was discussed and Tuesday’s airshow? How disappointing. And here I’d been led to believe that it was girls who ruled the world…or at least a little slice of it known as Pautauk.
That said, now that the replacement writers have decided, for absolute certainty that the leash holder is a man, does this mean that they also know his identity…because it was painfully clear that Chris and Dan/Dan and Chris had no idea, even after all this time.
* I’m still at a loss for why Betty Boop is still alive and well after smacking the taste out of Ava’s (Maura West) mouth and threatening her loved ones. All poor Connie did was breathe in her general direction and Madame Jerome shot her to [expletive]. (And yes, I know I’m being facetious…but only just!)
* Is the point to make me hate Molly (Brooke Anne Smith), because I’m pretty sure that I really hate Molly now…and I was never that enamored to begin with.
* The writers are really going out of their way to set up Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) as a red herring in the “Who’s Out To Get Anna” storyline, so much so that it’s actually starting to annoy.
* What I wanted to hear/see was Curtis “I’m Being Hypocrite” Ashford (Donnell Turner) having to admit to his pops that he’s letting a mob boss run rigged poker games in the back of my club because she did him the favor of tracking down his (Marshall’s) medical records.
