In the July 21 episode of General Hospital, Charlotte didn’t hide her flirtation with Gio. Charlotte’s crush was on full display, but the only person who may have clocked it was Lulu. It’s the latest in Charlotte’s teen angst showing, as she begins to channel her bad girl side again.

Key Takeaways

  • Charlotte is in activated teen mode.
  • Gio has no idea what he’s in for by being nice to Charlotte.
  • This will end badly for Charlotte.

Charlotte Has a Major Gio Crush on GH

At the Metro Court pool, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) was in full-on flirt mode with Gio (Giovanni Mazza), which was not a surprise. Charlotte has not been looking at Gio like Rocco’s (Finn Carr) older brother lately, that’s for sure.

It all started when Gio gave her a sympathetic ear. The talk flipped a switch for Charlotte regarding her feelings for the older guy.

When Lulu (Alex Havins) pulled Charlotte away from Gio, Charlotte used that as an opportunity to get closer to Gio. Once Lulu shut down the idea of Charlotte living at Carly’s (Laura Wright), the teen gave her mom an earful about Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Then Lulu abruptly left for an interview.

Gio Remained Clueless

After her tense conversation with her mother, Charlotte found comfort in Gio again. That’s right, the little schemer used the situation to get closer to her new crush. It worked until Emma (Braedyn Bruner) arrived to steal her man away from the teen.

Charlotte was none too thrilled to see Emma and Gio kissing, especially since she and Gio were bonding over music. The problem is that Gio thinks he’s simply being an older brother figure to Charlotte, nothing more.

Gio’s a nice guy, which is why he’s clueless about what Charlotte is capable of, and that’s why she has swapped out kissing her cousin Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) for hopes of kissing him.

The Reality Check for Charlotte Will Hurt

The way that Charlotte looked as Gio kissed Emma gave off serious Fatal Attraction vibes. Charlotte was really pissed, and jealousy oozed from her.

However, let’s remember Charlotte’s a Cassadine and has gone to great lengths before to get what she wanted. Remember everything she did to Anna (Finola Hughes) to keep her away from her dad.

GH fans will recall that it ended with Charlotte getting shot. Charlotte playing games with Gio and attempting to come between him and Emma will end badly for the teen.

There’s no way that Gio will ever see Charlotte as anything other than Rocco’s sister. Charlotte can’t see that or won’t see that, which presents a huge problem. Instead, she will pursue him, which will impact her relationship with many of her loved ones. She will also end up broken-hearted.

Charlotte’s crush puts Gio in direct danger from Valentin. The latter will not like his daughter crushing on or getting hurt by a guy way too old for her.

The teen angst is strong in Charlotte, and she shows no signs of letting off the gas on it anytime soon.
