The Ultimate Betrayal
Carly (Laura Wright) is on a mission to take down Jack (Chris McKenna) after learning he recruited Josslyn (Eden McCoy) into the WSB. What she doesn’t realize is just how explosive things will become when the truth comes out.
McKenna makes it clear that Jack is heading straight into emotional disaster. “I think he is going to be hurt, and I think we’ll finally get to see what’s been brewing underneath Brennan’s cold exterior all this time,” McKenna says of the reveal to come. “The way it looks right now, he is going to be blindsided completely with the worst secret. Not only is [trying to find Valentin] everything he’s been doing for the past 6 months, he didn’t find this guy,” McKenna points out.
Learning that the woman he loves has been hiding Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) right under his nose and sleeping with him will be almost impossible for Jack to process. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and McKenna doesn’t hold back. “People’s lives are in danger, and the love of his life is hiding it from him and sleeping with Valentin.” McKenna continues, “They obviously have set this up to be the worst thing Jack could find out in the worst way.”
When asked if Jack might turn some of that anger inward, McKenna admitted, “I think there will be some, ‘How could I have been so blind and stupid?'”
While Jack reels, Carly’s emotional response may surprise fans. Laura Wright recently shared that Carly “won’t feel remorse, but heartbreak.”
No matter how it unfolds, the consequences for Carly, Jack, and Valentin promise to reshape everything.
Ciao Bello
Off-screen, life has been much lighter for McKenna, who recently fulfilled a longtime promise. “I just got back from Italy with my mother. It was wonderful…It was magical.”
The trip had been years in the making. “I’ve been promising that I was going to take her there someday, and I finally got to do it. We walked around Florence and Rome and Siena and San Gimignano, and it was everything I hoped it could be.”
Returning to places that changed his life decades ago made it even more meaningful. “Back when I was 22, 23, I went to Florence. I went all over Europe.” McKenna recalls, “It was the first time I’ve been to Europe, and it really was eye-opening and world-expanding, and I was blown away by the food and the fact that da Vinci, Michelangelo, Dante, and Galileo lived right there.”
“It brought history into like reality for me, and so it was really cool to go back 25 years later and see the same places with my mother,” he enthused.
