Is Valentin Trustworthy?
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) can be a really bad guy, but he can also be a very good one. He has done some pretty awful things to the residents of Port Charles. The man is a spy and sometimes commits evil acts to get what he wants or to protect those he loves.
Valentin has a soft spot, especially concerning his daughter. He loves Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) more than anything, and there is nothing he wouldn’t do for her.
The super spy has also fallen in love a few times. He adored Nina (Cynthia Watros) when they were together, but made a fatal mistake by paying Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) to pose as her long-lost daughter. Then there was Anna (Finola Hughes), whom he had always loved. When they finally got together, their relationship was magical, until it wasn’t. They may have ended because he lied to her, but he will always have feelings for her.
Now he is with Carly (Laura Wright). We want to believe his feelings are real, but Valentin may never be truly trustworthy.
Anna’s Return
Poor Anna is stuck in a French mental health facility because Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) made her believe that Faison (Anders Hove) is still alive.
Valentin has great instincts and knows something is wrong with the story being told, so he called the facility to ask about Anna. Carly was understandably angry when he told her what he did. She has been harboring him as a fugitive for months, and that mistake could cost them everything.
That’s not all Carly was upset about. She felt threatened by that phone call because she knows very well how her new boyfriend feels about his ex. Carly was jealous, and she admitted it.
It is only a matter of time until Anna returns to Port Charles. If she is in bad condition, Valentin will want to help her, and she may trust him more than anyone else. Carly may or may not be able to put aside her jealousy, and it may be justified. Valentin and Anna have a connection that might not be broken.
