After watching her waffle around with not much to do since her character was nearly killed in a fire last winter (thanks, Lulu), it should come as no surprise that Brytni Sarpy is no longer on contract as Valerie Spencer on General Hospital.
Serial Scoop reports that Sarpy no longer appears in the contract closing credits on the show, and she also no longer appears onscreen on a regular basis.
Sarpy joined the soap in March of 2015 as the daughter of long-lost Spencer sister, Pat (Dee Wallace Stone). When Pat died after just a few episodes, Valerie moved to Port Charles to get to know her Spencer family.
She soon developed feelings for cousin-in-law Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and the two had an affair. When Lulu (Emme Rylan) found out, that alienated her from the Spencers and she’s not done much since.

The show chem tested her with Robert Palmer Watkins’ Dillon, but that never took off–the same as her romance with Donnell Tuner’s Curtis. She just seemed to be a place holder until Curtis could become closer to Jordan (Vinessa Antoine).
Being off contract doesn’t mean we won’t see Valerie anymore. It just means she likely won’t be involved with major storylines.
