On Thursday’s General Hospital, Ava Jerome learns her first-born daughter was killed and Ryan Chamberlain will learn mothers might not like their daughters, but they will still always love them.
After Kiki was revealed to indeed be Ryan’s latest victim on Wednesday, Hayley Erin took to Twitter to say goodbye to “Keeks” and thank fans and the soap for giving her such an incredible daytime opportunity.
(Erin chose to leave the soap for a role on Pretty Little Liars: Perfectionists, which debuts on Freeform in 2019.)
After the tweet, it didn’t take long for Erin’s TV mom to have her say. Emmy-winner Maura West, a mother of five herself, tweeted this to her TV daughter of the last three-and-a-half years.
“I love you, Hayley. And you are stuck with me…cuz once you’re my fake tv daughter…you’re my family forever and for real. We will continue to watch you sparkle!!”
Using her unique sense of humor, of course Erin responded, showing the indelible bond this onscreen mother and daughter had.

Ava and Kiki traded slaps and shared men, but they were a soap mother and daughter team to be reckoned with for sure. And, now it’s over — onscreen at least.
