The big General Hospital news in this week’s spoilers has to be the return of Ethan Lovett, Luke and Holly’s son. He’s back, and is he already running into Kristina? In other news, Laura proposes an alliance, and Michael’s ex and his current girlfriend go head-to-head in the marquee match-up for Friday, April 17, 2026.
Key Takeaways
- Ethan Lovett returns to Port Charles, stirring old connections and fresh questions.
- Willow targets Michael’s current girlfriend as Nina faces a tempting new offer.
- Laura moves to build a powerful alliance against a growing threat.
Ethan Lovett’s Back in Town
Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) finally finds himself back in Port Charles. The last time we saw the character, he was in major trouble thanks to Victor Cassadine (Thaao Penghlis), who held Ethan captive in Venezuela. Holly (Emma Samms) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) had to team up to rescue him.
When he touches down in Port Charles, how long before we find out why he has suddenly returned? In GH’s weekly video preview, it has to be Ethan that Lulu (Alexa Havins) approaches at the docks. So it seems like he’s about to reconnect with his half-sister. Someone else he may quickly reconnect with is Kristina (Kate Mansi).
Kristina is about to be caught off-guard. And it could be Ethan’s return that throws her for a loop. There is history there, after all.
Willow and Nina: Confrontations and Intriguing Offers
Willow (Kately MacMullen) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) are in such a toxic place. The congresswoman finally confessed to her mom her massive misdeeds, let’s say. She shot Drew (Cameron Mathison) and is responsible for his locked-in state. And there are other people who know what she has done. Most recently, she incriminated her mom so that she could use it as leverage in the future.
But on Friday, mother and daughter are on different paths. Get ready for Michael’s (Rory Gibson) ex-wife to go after Michael’s current girlfriend. Willow’s walk on the dark side continues as she confronts Jacinda (Paige Herschell). We’ll get to see how an attempted murderess has a problem with a former sex worker being in her children’s lives.
The thing is, Willow probably feels she’ll be able to control how this heated confrontation will go. But we put our money on Jacinda giving as good as she gets.
Meanwhile, Nina receives an intriguing offer. She can’t love the fact that her daughter is controlling her with that syringe that has her fingerprints on it. She needs a bit of a win right now and, who knows, maybe this so-called intriguing offer she receives will give it to her.
Laura Wants an All-Star Team-Up
Laura (Genie Francis) is in desperation mode now. She is understandably frustrated with being under Sidwell’s thumb. Just thinking about the man gives her the ick. Laura proposing an alliance, as the teasers suggest, means one thing to us. That she’s finally ready to fight back. And in a bigger way than just stalling the approval of a flight plan for Sidwell (Carlo Rota), that makes his life easier.
She’s already in cahoots with Sonny (Maurice Benard), thanks to Sidwell trying to kill two birds with one stone. Is there a chance that the person in this new alliance is Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove)? The man clearly despises Sidwell. The guy just threatened him with a gun because he’s struggling to get Laura to approve everything he wants, no matter what, no matter when.
Who will this anti-Sidwell alliance include? And why should it be almost everyone in town? He has made many enemies. And it’s time for them to fight back and kick him to the curb.
