The Voice started the season 13 Battle Rounds as all four judges pitted their own team members against each other with varying musical results. So, who survived?

Jennifer Hudson’s team made a fair showing with Lucas Holliday and Meagan McNeal dueling Bobby Brown’s hit, My Prerogative. This R&B performance had the former American Idol contestant torn about who to send home: The sultry soft rocker or the charismatic growler?

JHud chose to keep Lucas and to eliminate Meagan. Harsh!

Then, Moriah Formica did a duet with Shilo Gold of The Guess Who’s anthem, American Woman. These Team Miley members were both fierce in their skilled efforts but Moriah’s vocal gymnastics won out and Shilo went out The Voice door, defeated.

Keisha Renee was up next to battle Noah Mac as Team Blake took on the iconic Elvis tune, I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry. Mac’s vintage sound paired well enough with Keisha’s mad vocals, but one was clearly better than the other. Still, both showed terrific singing skills.

And so, after much deliberation on Shelton’s part, Keisha was deemed the winner but Noah was still safe, stolen from Blake’s team by Jennifer Hudson.

Chris Weaver and Kathrina Feigh of Team JHud tackled Ariana’s Grande’s hit, Dangerous Woman. Both are natural belters, but Chris, who was called “a force of nature”, was picked by Hudson to stay. Meanwhile, veteran The Voice judge/mentor Blake Shelton stole Kathrina.

After that drama, the show had a Bob Dylan moment as Brooke Simpson and Sophia Bollman sang You’re A Big Girl Now. Brooke survived. Sophia didn’t.

At the end of the night, the best The Voice battle took place as Adam Pearce and Whitney Fenimore did a duet formerly performed by Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty called Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.

Both contestants strummed acoustic guitars throughout their performance, which was a memorable rendition worthy of the late, great Petty.

Sadly, Whitney was not victorious in this Team Adam pairing but she was given a second chance thanks to Cyrus, who Fenimore chose over Shelton to be her second mentor. Adam remained on Levine’s team.

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC at 8 p.m., ET.
