Did Tayshia Adams decide to go on The Bachelor while she was dating somebody else? It’s certainly starting to look that way and now the guy at the center of the controversy is setting the record straight!
Tayshia’s ex-boyfriend, Chase Olswang, recently dished to Us Weekly about his relationship with the reality star and revealed they were “exclusively dating” up until the night she left to be on the show.
Chase revealed the pair met in Newport Beach, California back in November 2017.
“We fell in love really quickly,” he said, though he noted that they never put labels on their relationship.
He also explained that Tayshia wasn’t sure she wanted to go on the show for a long time.
“I moved some things around … before she ended up deciding to leave [for The Bachelor] because she still wasn’t really sure if she was going to go on the show or not,” he shared.

“She was still back and forth … she wasn’t sure. As it got closer, I could kind of see changes between us and I could kind of tell that she was leaning toward going. I don’t know all of the exact reasons for that.”
And, though Tayshia is still competing on Colton’s season, she has reportedly been in contact with Chase since filming ended back in November.
Meanwhile, Tayshia was open with Colton about her divorce during an episode of The Bachelor, but she has yet to mention her relationship with Chase.
“The past year and a half has been hard for me. I was married and I got a divorce. I married my first boyfriend, and was with him for six years or so,” she said at the time.
