Not only is Selma Blair back to work on a new movie amid her multiple sclerosis struggles, but she’s also reuniting with her former Cruel Intentions director, Roger Kumble.

Selma Blair Back To Work

The actress shared a side-by-side photo of the duo on the set of Cruel Intentions and on the set of their new movie, After We Collided, on Thursday.

“Reunited. #cruelintentions 1998 on set. And today @aftermovie 2019. I love this man. #secretsociety #tessa! #hollywoodlegends,” she captioned the post. “@rogerkumble follow this director if you love awesome people. Or teen movies. 💛 #aftermovie.”

After We Collided is the sequel to the teen romantic drama, After, which came out earlier this year. Blair plays the character of Carol Young, who is the mother of the main character, Tessa Young, played by Josephine Langford.

A Special Cruel Intentions Reunion
While the reunion is exciting, it’s even more exciting to see that Blair is feeling healthy and strong enough to head back to work. She has been very honest about her MS fight.

The news of her filming also comes just a couple of days after Blair opened up about losing her hair following chemotherapy and how she’s learned to accept her new look.

An Update

“It took two months to begin regrowth and it came in fine and pale and very sparse. I shaved it. It looked too sad. For me. I let it grow back. It was patchy in color and I felt like dying it brown. Ridiculous! I really only succeeded in dying my scalp,” she shared.

“I will see how a pixie grows in. Or I will buzz again. It seems to be too much to have long hair again. So I will leave it short and grey, something I have never before wanted to do. I equated it with giving up. And maybe giving up long, brown hair, complete with time-consuming and expensive highlights and lowlights isn’t necessarily a give up. Give in. Embrace.”

Blair went public with her MS diagnosis over two years ago and has bravely used her platform to shed light on what it’s like to live with the disease.
