Pitt and Aniston met after they were set up by their agents in 1998. They tried to keep their relationship private, but it was only a matter of time before people found out about their new romance. They then made their public debut as a couple at the 1999 Emmy Awards.

Following a whirlwind romance, Pitt and Aniston tied the knot in Malibu on July 29, 2000. The wedding supposedly cost millions of dollars and was a bit of a media circus. Not only did they have lavish tents, but they also had stunning fireworks following the whole celebration.

The One Where Brad Pitt Guest Stars
About a year and a half into their marriage, Pitt made a guest-starring appearance on Friends in which he played a character who hated Aniston’s character, Rachel Green. The episode is still very popular to this day, and it actually landed Pitt an Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series nomination at the Emmys.
Tumultuous Divorce
Pitt and Aniston announced their split in January 2005 following rumors that he had an affair with his high profile Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star, Angelia Jolie. The split and eventual divorce were very public, especially because Pitt quickly moved on with Jolie.
Still Friends
Despite how public their split and all its unfortunate details were, Aniston and Pitt are reportedly still friendly. In September of 2016, he and Jolie broke up. Pitt supposedly attended Aniston’s 50th birthday party in February 2019.
