Julia Stiles wasn’t necessarily barefoot but she was definitely pregnant when the actress wed longtime love Preston J. Cook in a beach wedding during Labor Day weekend. Stiles herself broke the story on Instagram Tuesday, calling out the rhetorical question, “Who doesn’t like a shotgun wedding?”
Stiles, 36, and Cook, 36, reportedly married on a Seattle beach with two friends in attendance. The couple met on the 2015 flick, Go With Me, during which time he was the camera assistant and she was the star.
The strawberry blonde and her handsome beau became engaged during the holidays that year, again announcing on Instagram with the proclamation “Best Christmas ever” by Stiles, who was wearing her round diamond engagement ring while holding hands with her suitor.
She and Cook were on holiday in Colombia on irresistible Isla Grande when he popped the question.

However, the Save the Last Dance star admitted that she wasn’t totally surprised when Preston asked for her hand in marriage. During an appearance on Live! With Kelly last July, Stiles said Cook had been fishing for some answers to some very pointed questions, like what kind of jewelry she preferred: white gold or yellow. Clue or clueless?
Meanwhile, Julia Stiles’ pregnancy was also evident on social media when, on August 1, 2017, an Instagram selfie belied a prominent baby bump. Their first child is set to arrive by year’s end.
