While many people can’t wait to see what the CW Dynasty reboot brings, original cast member Gordon Thomson (ex-Walter, DOOL; ex-Patrick, YR) is not at all excited about the upcoming show.
In fact, in a recent interview, Thomson, who portrayed Adam in the original, trashed the remake, according to an EW report. He said, “I have had a look at the new Dynasty and I am appalled.”
Things just go down from there. He also took time to bash the original show’s creators, Richard and Esther Shapiro, in his rant.

He said, “The acting is dreadful, truly dreadful. The writing is appalling. I don’t know what possessed the Shapiros to bother.”
Also, during the interview, the former portrayer of the show’s notoriously homophobic character Adam, officially came out of the closet announcing officially that he is gay.
Ultimately, he doesn’t feel the show should even carry the show’s name because he doesn’t think it has anything at all to do with the 1980s primetime soap opera.
“Why call it Dynasty? It’s nothing to do with Dynasty at all. It’s insulting. If the afterlife exists — it doesn’t, but if it did — Aaron would be having major fits in his grave.”
