Entertainment News: Love & Family

Josh Duhamel is a married man. He and Audra Mari took their vows during a rooftop ceremony at Jasper hotel in North Dakota on September 10th. Duhamel began dating Audra in 2019, shortly after his divorce from Fergie that same year.

90-Day Fiancé alums Loren and Alexei Brovarnik welcomed their third child over the weekend. Daughter Ariel joins sons Shai and Asher to make this a family of five.

Baby #9 arrived or Nick Cannon. The father of may welcomed a little girl with LaNisha Cole. This is a first child for Cole but Nick is going to keep going. Just a few weeks ago he announced Brittney Bell is pregnant with his upcoming tenth child.

Things are reportedly getting rocky between Tom Brady and Gisele. According to TMZ, the couple is living apart as they deal with marital issues. Rumors of problems began when Tom decided to go back to Football after announcing his retirement.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds will soon be a family of six! The A-list couple announced on Friday they are expecting baby number four. Blake and Ryan share three daughters, James (7), Inez (5), and Betty (2).

Gold Star Accomplishments

Tennis legend Roger Federer is saying goodbye to the competitive sport. He announced his retirement on September 15th. The 41-year-old star athlete said he knows his body’s limitations and says the Laver Cup match in London next week will be his last.

Illness and Injury

Lea Michele has to put the role of a lifetime as Rachel Berry dreams on hold for ten more days. She tested positive for Covid and was forced to take a step back as her lead in Funny Girl on Broadway.

Entertainment News: Celebrity Scandals & Hot Topics

The drama doesn’t end for Ricky Martin. No sooner did he drop a lawsuit against his nephew for slander than his nephew countered with a whole new set of allegations. Dennis Yodel Sánchez Martin now claims that Ricky did sexually assault and harass him, despite testifying otherwise on the stand. Entertainment Weekly has the details.

Todd and Julie Chrisley’s sentencing date on October 6 for fraud charges was postponed. Their attorney claims a witness “lied” and the judge granted the postponement for good cause. The Chrisley Knows Best stars are now scheduled for sentencing on November 21 according to PEOPLE.

Actor James Tupper is contesting Homer Laffoon’s appointment as special administrator of actress and author Anne Heche, claiming he has an emailed will from Heche from 2011 placing him in charge of distributing her estate. Tupper claims that Laffoon was unemployed, had dropped out of college, and was estranged from his mother at the time of her death on August 11, 2022.

Casting & Changes

A new dating series is coming to Hulu and Taye Diggs is taking the lead. Back n the Groove will be the first unscripted Hulu Original under the Walt Disney Television Alternative Banner. Dateline has the details.

Masterchef will keep on cooking. The show was renewed for season 13. The news came just hours after the season finale of season 12. Watch for the new episodes to start in the summer of 2023.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam

The MMA world is in mourning the death of Elias Theodorou. The fighter died on September 12th after losing his battle with cancer. He was 34 years old.

Infamous attorney Kenneth Starr died at 76. Known for the investigation of President Clinton for his affair with intern Monica Lewinsky, turning a blind eye to sexual assault cases as president of Baylor University, and securing a sweetheart deal for famed sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. The Starr Report author succumbed to complications due to surgery in Houston, Texas.

A restaurant robbery led to the shooting death of rapper Rakim Allen aka PnB Rock. He became a target during the crime and was shot when he was told to hand over his personal belongings. He was 30 years old.

Character actor Henry Silva, known for playing villainess roles, passed away at 95 in Woodland Hills, California. He appeared in a number of movies with Frank Sinatra, including the original Ocean’s Eleven

The world of R&B lost one of the greats this week with the passing of Jesse Powell. The “You” singer died on September 13th. He was 51 years old.

September 13th also marked the death of filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard. Noted by Time Magazine as one of the Greatest Living, he began his career in the 1950th and continued in the industry until 2018. He was 92 years old.
