Entertainment News: Love & Family

It’s a boy for Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder! She and Beau Clark revealed the gender of their second child on March 10th. The little man will soon join big sister Hartford.

She said yes (and so did he)! Mad Men and Bad Girls star Christina Hendricks is getting married. She is sporting a shiny ring from her cameraman beau George Bianchini. The couple proposed to each other this week and made the announcement on Friday.

Weird & Wonderful News

Keanu Reeves reached a whole new level of legendary. German Scientist Sebastian Götze discovered a new kind of fungus-killing bacteria and named it after the famous actor. “Keanumycins” fights against plant fungal diseases and human-pathogenic fungi all while being harmless to plants and environmentally friendly.

Health & Wellness

NFL player K.J. Osborn became quite the hero this week. He was in an Uber when he witnessed a car crash and jumped into action. He rescued a man from the burning vehicle.

1000-Lb. Sisters star Tammy Salmon revealed her new look after her dramatic weightless. She went from 717lbs to 534lbs and counting! She made the announcement on her social media on Monday.

Entertainment News: Celebrity Scandals & Hot Topics

There was great news for Halle Bailey this week. She revealed Mattel’s newest Barbie, modeled after her portrayal as Ariel. She shared the Little Mermaid doll on her social media.

There was chaos and heartbreak when rapper GloRilla took the stage on March 5th in New York. The scene turned into a deadly stampede that left several fans fighting for their lives and two passing away. Survivors claim they were running for exits when they heard gunshots.

TV’s Dr. Bruce Hensel has been sentenced to two years probation. He pleaded no contest to contacting a minor with the intent to commit a crime. The former NBC4 correspondent must register as a sex offender.  

Not-so-great luck came Pete Davidson’s way. He and new flame Chase Sui crashed into a home after he lost control of the Mercedes. The collision was so forceful the homeowner’s teen daughter thought there was an earthquake. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Julia Fox (Uncut Gems) is back in the news after her father and brother were arrested. The police took the pair down after raiding their NYC apartment and found drugs, guns, and evidence of narcotics manufacturing.

Casting & Changes

Owen Wilson will soon be on the big screen playing a Bob Ross-esque painter. His character, Carl Nargle seems quite similar to the famous painter who was adored by millions. The trailer for Paint is now available to view.

Nick Cannon has a strange new game show coming up. He announced his bachelor-style competition Who’s Having My Baby which will have women competing to have his next child.

Chicago Fire fans rejoice! Jesse Spencer is returning to the show. Fire captain Matthew Casey will check back into the station for the 18th episode of the 11th season.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam

The X-Life alum Denise Russo passed away on March 5th. While her cause of death is unknown at this time, reports state the police found drug paraphernalia at the home.

March 9th marked the death of Robert Blake. The actor, who was found not guilty of murdering his wife, died from heart disease. Blake started his career at 5 years old but suffered from the mistreatment of his parents and the studios at the time. After years of struggling with his demons, he went on to win an Emmy in 1975 for Baretta and a Golden Globe the following year. He was 89 years old.

Legendary Hall of Famer and Minnesota Vikings coach Bud Grant passed away early in the morning on Friday, March 10th, at the age of 95. As a CFL coach won the Grey Cup four times, under his leadership the Vikings won 11 division championships and was inducted into the Hall of Fame but sadly the Super Bowl championship eluded him. For Vikings fans, he will always be a part of their Minnesota history.

Longtime David Letterman collaborator and film coordinator Rick Scheckman passed away on Friday, March 10th, at the age of 67 after multiple health issues. He joined the Late Night With David Letterman show in 1982 catching the attention of the powers that be and quickly offered a full-time gig where he remained for 30 years.

MTV VJ and KROQ DJ Lewis Largent has died after a long illness at 58. He passed away on February 20 but the family confirmed with Variety on March 10. Largent was a huge influencer in the world of alternative music throughout the 80s and 90s rising to the top of the ranks based on his arsenal of knowledge of the music genre.

Deadline reported on March 11th that writer Erin Maroney Fraser, who got her start as senior assistant to SNL’s Lorne Michaels, passed away due to a brain hemorrhage on March 3rd, at the age of 53. SNL paid tribute to Fraser at the end of Saturday night’s episode.
