Entertainment News: Bouncing Babies

Rapper Big Sean is going to be a dad! He and Jhené Aiko are expecting their first child together. This will be the second bundle of joy for Jhené who shares a son with O’Ryan.

Sarah Levy is a first-time mom! The actress welcomed her son, James Eugene with husband Graham Outerbridge. This is famed actor Eugene Levy’s first grandchild.

Elon Musk was in the news after he confirmed he secretly fathered twins with one of his Neuralink execs. The babies were born last year to Shaven Zilis and were kept out of the public eye. The news came out after Elon and Shaven filed court documents to give her children the Musk last name.

Love & Heartbreak

It didn’t take long for RHOC’s Meghan King to move on from her short-lived marriage to Cuffe Biden Owens. The two met in September 2021, wed a month later, and were separated by December. Now, she has a new man in her life. She just went public as dating Trevor Colhoun. Her annulment with Owens is not yet finalized.

Does Chris Rock have a new flame? It sure looks like it after he and Lake Bell were spotted out and about together multiple times over the long weekend. However, the couple has yet to confirm a romance.

Wolfgang Van Halen is ready for a forever kind of love. The son of Valerie Bertinelli and Eddie Van Halen got down on one knee and proposed to Andraia Allsop. And, of course, she said yes.

Love Is Blind stat Shaina Hurley took her vows with Christos Lardakis. The couple wed in a simple courthouse ceremony. They plan to have a wedding in Greece later this month.

90-Day Fiancé couple Pedro Jimeno and Chantel Everett are on the outs. He has filed for divorce citing Chantel stealing upwards of $270K from his accounts and transferring the funds to her sister.

Rihanna joined Billionaire’s Row this week when her fortune hit the ten-digit figures. She is listed as the youngest female self-made billionaire in the country.

Crime and Punishment

Amber Heard was back in the news after her attorneys asked the court to toss out Johnny Depp’s verdict. They claim the verdict was not supported by evidence and that there was a juror on the panel who lied about their birth year.

Nipsey Hussle’s alleged killer, Eric Holder Jr. was found guilty of first-degree murder this week. The rapper was gunned down in 2019. This brings an end to a long trial with the verdict coming in after a short six-hour deliberation.

Actor Jerry Harris was sentenced to 12 years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to one count of receiving child pornography and one count of traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.

Entertainment News: Illness and Injury

Carlos Santana is said to be recovering well after collapsing on stage. The famed Grammy-winning musician suffered heat exhaustion and dehydration during a concert on Tuesday in Clarkson, Michigan.

Denzel Washington contracted Covid this week. The actor was set to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom but how to bow out of the ceremony after testing positive for the virus.

Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty has to complete three years of probation after failing to register as a sex offender. This comes after he pled guilty to federal charges last year due to not registering in Los Angeles. The original charge stems from a conviction in 1994 when he was found guilty of attempting to rape a teenager.

Celebrity Scandals

Ricky Martin was in the news last week after a blow-up with a former manager. This week, it’s due to a restraining order. A past lover of Ricky’s alleges the singer was physically violent and petitioned the court for a restraining order. Ricky claims the allegations are completely false.

Hayden Panettiere broke her silence this week after a string of bad press due to her drunken actions. She came clean to the media about her drug and alcohol abuse, surviving domestic abuse, and even losing custody of her daughter.

Britney Spears is enjoying her honeymoon but that doesn’t mean the drama is over. This week, leaked documents exposed just how deeply involved her ex-business manager was in setting up the conservatorship.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam

Legendary actor James Caan passed away on July 6th. Known for his roles as Sonny Corleone in The Godfather, Brian Piccolo in Brian’s Song, Paul Sheldon in Misery, and over one hundred other TV and film parts, James is said to be one of the Hollywood Greats. Caan received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1978. He was 82 years old at the time of his death.

Another tough-guy actor who passed away on July 8th was Tony Sirico, best known as Paulie Walnuts in The Sopranos, and Tony Stacks in Goodfellas. He was 79.

July 8th saw the death of iconic actor Gregory Itzin. The television and movie mainstay kept fans entertained for decades in roles in 24, Mob City, The Mentalist, and Murder One. He died from complications from emergency surgery at 74 years old.

Also passing on July 8th was Larry Storch. The famous star lived a long life and died six months shy of his 100th birthday. Storch entertained fans for more than 60 years boasting roles in F Troop, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Brady Kids, and The Ghost Busters.

Sad news came to the pop music world this week when dancer and choreographer Bruno “Pop N Taco” Falcon died on July 4th. He was instrumental in the pop-and-lock style of dance. He center stage in several music videos from that era including Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal. He was 58 years old.

Mona Hammond passed away on July 6th. The trailblazing actress entertained the world for decades in roles in Us Girls, EastEnders, and The Crouches. In 1986, she cofounded the Talawa Theatre Company which was the first professional black theatre company in Britain.

Tragedy struck Bevin Prince’s family on July 6th. The One Tree Hill alum’s husband, William Friend died after being struck by lighting. The 33-year-old was on a boating trip when the fatal incident occurred.

Yu-Gi-Oh! fans are in mourning after the death of creator Kabuki Takahashi. His body was found in the waters off the coast of Nago on July 6th. It is believed the 60-year-old passed away while snorkeling.

Lenny von Dohlen succumbed to a long illness on July 5th. The 63-year-old actor was best known for his roles as Harold Smith in Twin Peaks, Miles Harding in Electric Dreams O.S.T, and as Mr. Cox in The Pretender.
