MJ Rodriguez shattered a major glass ceiling by becoming the first transgender actress to receive an Emmy nomination. She is up for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Blanca Rodriguez in the hit show Pose.

A Daytime Switcheroo

Daytime talk show lovers will soon see a fresh face at The Talk’s table. In a bombshell move, Jerry O’Connell won the co-host seat as the first man to become a permanent fixture. He steps in to replace Sharon Osborne.

Casting About

In other casting news, supermodel Gigi Hadid is moving off the runway and behind the mic as she takes over the narrating of Netlix’s ‘Never have I Ever.’ Chrissy Teigen steps down from that spot after multiple online bullying scandals. This news comes mere days before Teigen and her family said goodbye to their family pet.

Also coming to Netflix is Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle. She is working with David Furnish (husband of Sir Elton John) to develop the series ‘Pearl.’ This will be the first show under Meghan and Prince Harry’s company, Archewell Productions.

Britney Spears’s conservatorship battles moved forward this week when the courts approved her hiring a lawyer of her own choosing. Ms. Spears is now represented by an attorney to the stars Mathew Rosengart. His firm takes care of A-listers such as Sean Penn and Steven Spielberg. Rumor has it, she will soon fight to end her guardianship entirely.

Hot Summer Romance

Sharon Stone was in the tabloids this week after being snapped with 25-year-old rapper RMR. The paparazzi immediately speculated she was dating the musician, a statement she wholly denies.

‘Night Court’ fans went into mourning this week after the loss of Charlie Robinson. The 75-year-old star passed away this week after suffering multiple ailments. TV Line published the actor’s obituary which includes a touching tribute to his time as court clerk extraordinaire, Mac.
