Entertainment News: Love & Family

Are Selena Gomez and Drew Taggart dating? That’s what the rumors are saying. Reports say the pop star and the Chainsmokers’ members were seen out and about at a New York City bowling alley.

Brittany Snow will soon be single. The Guiding Light and Pitch Perfect alum filed for divorce from husband Tyler Stanaland. The couple married in 2020 just as the world was shutting down. She is citing irreconcilable differences and says there is a prenup.

A new week, a new romance for Pete Davidson. The playboy was seen out and about kissing Chase Sui Wonders. While Pete has yet to confirm an ongoing romance with the Generations actress, he sure did enjoy their date at Universal Studios.

Health & Wellness

A search and rescue mission is underway for Julian Sands. He was identified this week as one of the two hikers missing in the Mt. Baldy area. The British actor has not been heard from since last Friday. This story is ongoing.

Entertainment News: Celebrity Scandals & Hot Topics

Dr. Dre is selling his music collection. Universal Music Group is said to be taking him up on the $250 million offer and will acquire the rights to nearly his entire catalog. This will include his shares in N.W.A. royalties, his producer royalties, and royalties to his solo albums. Variety has the story.

Anne Heche’s legacy lives on – in the form of a memoir. The actress was working on her life story at the time of her death. The book is moving into publication and People Magazine has a first look at “Call Me Anne.”

Madonna is going back on tour! The Pop Queen announced her Celebration tour and tickets are currently on sale. The tour will commemorate the 40th anniversary of her career and she says she hopes to give her fans the show they have been waiting for.

It’s been a year since the Rust shooting and the D.A. is now moving forward with charges. According to CNBC, Alec Baldwin will face involuntary manslaughter charges for the accidental shooting death of Halyna Hutchins. Also facing charges is the set’s armor Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.

Casting & Changes

Power Rangers fans are in for a treat, all thanks to Netflix. The streaming service is setting up a reunion to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the iconic series. Most of the original cast is coming back with one very big exception – Amy Jo Johnson, aka The Pink Ranger, will not be in attendance.

The Sound of Music is making its way to the small screen. A von Trapp TV show is in development with George von Trapp’s great-great grandson Miles von Trapp Derbyshire aiding in the production. The historical drama, ’Baroness’ will focus on the family life of Baroness Henriette von Trapp.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam

Legendary actress Gina Lollobrigida passed away on January 16th. The Italian diva spent decades in the spotlight on and off the big screen, including an iconic feud with Sophia Loren that lasted nearly 70 years. Sophia finally ended the rivalry when she paid tribute to Gina upon hearing about her death.

The world of professional wrestling is in mourning following the death of Jay Briscoe. The AEW star died on January 17th after being involved in a tragic car accident. He was 38 years old.

January 17th also marked the death of Screaming Trees bassist Van Conner. His brother and bandmate Gary Lee Conner announced his passing due to pneumonia. Van was 55 years old.

Famed producer Edward R. Pressman passed away on January 18th. He was the man behind such classics as American Psycho and Wall Street. His legacy will live on in his cult classic movies. He was 79 years old.

Iconic musician David Crosby died on January 19th. He rose to fame as one of the founding members of the legendary band Crosby, Stills & Nash and worked alongside some of the greatest in the industry. He was 81 years old.
