As the World Turns may be gone, but the stars from the beloved CBS serial still support one another. Recently, Mom star William Fichtner, who plays Adam on the hit CBS show, received a special shout-out from his former Oakdale daughter in support of his new movie.

William Fichtner Has New Project

As ATWT fans recall, Martha Byrne was ingenue Lily Walsh, who learned that her birth father was a man named Rod Landry (AKA Josh Snyder), played by Fichtner.

In one of the daytime serial’s most memorable scenes (which you can see below), Lily not only learned she was adopted but that her friends, Iva and Rod, were her parents, traumatizing the young woman.

Now, the actor has a new movie coming out called Cold Brook. “My TV dad Bill Fichtner’s new film looks amazing!” Byrne tweeted. “Please watch and RT. Bill is the Writer! Producer! Director and Star! I saw him in LA last year and this project has been a labor of LOVE for him. Show him some [love] back :)))).”

According to the film’s IMBD page, Cold Brook is “the story of two ordinary guys in a small town who embark on an extraordinary adventure. It’s a story about coming home; something everyone, everywhere has an innate desire to do.”

Amazing New Film

As you can see in the teaser below, the story, which contains a supernatural element, is about two men, Ted Markham (Fichtner) and George Hildebrandt (Kim Coates) who encounter a third — Gil Le Deux (Harold Perrineau) — in a museum and set out to help him find his way home. Check out Byrne’s tweets below to learn more. Cold Brook debuts in select theaters on Friday, November 8 and On-Demand.
