Six-time Emmy winning actress Allison Janney, star of Mom and The West Wing, is a huge advocate for animals and has been running a fundraiser sweepstakes in support of a very impactful organization.

In a video posted to her Instagram account, Janney thanks everyone for their support for the Amelia Air Animal Rescue, which helps take animals from shelters and place them in loving homes. Janney’s niece is on the board of this important organization and is also a pilot, flying all over to rescue animals.
“I could not be prouder of her,” Janney said.
The actress also sent a thankyou post to all her fans and friends who donated for the cause.
“With your generosity, we have raised close to $28,000 for @ameliaairrescue!!” Janney wrote. “I am blown away by the response; these funds will go SUCH a long way in allowing Amelia Air to save hundreds of pets stuck in overcrowded kill shelters.”
She also reminds people that anyone who donates at least $10 by midnight ET tonight can still be eligible to win one of the amazing West Wing-themed prizes, including autographed merchandise.
Five people will win a new copy of the September 2020 Entertainment Weekly magazine featuring the West Wing cast, which has been autographed by the whole cast including Bradley Whitford, Richard Schiff, Rob Lowe, Martin Sheen, Janel Moloney, Dule Hill, and Janney herself of course. Two others will win the issue signed by just Janney, and one lucky donor will take home a West Wing Complete Series DVD Box Set signed by Janney.
“You’ll already be a big winner just by helping to save animals’ lives,” she said.
Janney even does a little song and dance at the end of the video that may remind some of C.J.’s infamous Jackal performance during Season 1 of the West Wing.
