Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe “Devastated” Following Split From Ex-Fiancé Shawn Booth

While many Bachelor Nation couples have come and gone over the years, fans really believed Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth would make it work.

The Bachelorette couple got engaged back in 2015 and were clearly the definition of couple goals following their time on the show.

But after three loving years together, the pair decided to call it quits on their relationship.

Fans are clearly distraught over the news, but it also hasn’t been easy for the parties involved, especially Kaitlyn.

In fact, according to People, the 33-year-old did everything in her power to prevent a split.

“This was the last thing Kaitlyn wanted. She was willing to fight for the relationship, but there was nowhere for it to go,” a source said.

One of their major issues was where they stood on having kids and getting married. While Kaitlyn was ready to get the ball rolling on both, it doesn’t sound like Shawn was quite as ready.

“It’s only natural to think about the next steps when you’ve been together for three years,” the source explained.

“Kaitlyn wants to be married and have kids. But it didn’t seem like they were on the same page.”

The source continued, “There is a lot of hurt. Kaitlyn tried to make it work. She never thought this would end.”

Not to mention, Kaitlyn and Shawn are both incredibly busy. Shawn just opened up his gym in Nashville and Kaitlyn is working hard on her podcast and her scrunchie line.

Sadly, the pair revealed their split with fans last week in a statement.

“After three incredible years, we have decided to go our separate ways. This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration,” the statement said.

“Even though we are parting as a couple, we’re very much committed to remaining friends and we will continue to support each other.”

The statement continued, “Due to the nature of how we met, our relationship has always been very public, and we have enjoyed sharing it with all of you, but we ask that you respect our decision and our privacy at this time.”
