Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson’s baby has arrived! The actress welcomed their daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson, on Tuesday, March 19.
According to People, little Birdie weighed in at 10 pounds, 13 ounces. This is the third child for the couple, who also have 6-year-old Maxwell and 5-year-old Ace.
Simpson shared a photo of Maxwell holding Birdie’s hand on Instagram on Wednesday, March 20.
“Birdie Mae Johnson. 3.19.19. 10 Pounds 13 Ounces,” she captioned the photo.
Though Simpson and Johnson weren’t planning on having another child, they welcomed their pregnancy as wonderful surprise.
“[She’s] so excited about having a third baby and expanding the family,” a source told E! News.

“Several of her closest girlfriends also just had babies and she’s thrilled to join the club and raise all of them together.
The source continued, “This was such an amazing surprise and shock but truly feels right and meant to be for the family. She would love to be done with being pregnant but also knows it’s going to go fast and there’s a lot to do to get ready before the baby comes.”
Simpson broke the news about her pregnancy on Instagram back in September.
“SURPRISE…” she captioned a photo of her two kids with pink balloons.
“This little baby girl will make us a family of five. We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”
