Jennifer Aniston nearly “broke” Instagram when she signed up for the social media platform as so many people followed her instantly. Seriously, any wonder? Who wouldn’t want to be pals with the woman who brought Friends character Rachel Green to life? Now, Aniston using Instagram to announce that her family has expanded!

Jennifer Aniston Shows Off Her New Addition

“👋🏼 Hi!” Aniston began a recent post on Instagram. “I’d like to introduce to you the newest member of our 🐾 family….this is (a very tired) Lord Chesterfield ❤️. He stole my heart immediately. A HUGE thank you to @wagmorpets for the incredible work you do. Grateful you take such great care of these rescues and find them their forever homes🙏🏼.”

Just who was the real Lord Chesterfield? Born Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th earl of Chesterfield, on September 22, 1694, Stanhope was a British diplomat and statesman known for being the author of Letters to His Son and Letters to His Godson, guides to manners, worldly success, and to the art of pleasing. Ironically, Chesterfield’s son was described as “loutish,” and his godson was once described as having “as little good breeding as any man I ever met.”

Aniston also counts among her “fur babies” Sophie, a white pit bull, and Clyde, a Schnauzer mix. Sadly, the actress and ex-husband Justin Theroux lost their dog Dolly, a white German Shepherd, in July 2019.

“Oh my goodness!!” posted Julianne Moore. Added Matt Bomer: “😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 Congratulations!!!! 🎉.”

The fan account @anistondreams posted: “he is so cute! i’m so glad for everything you do to help everyone. you are amazing, i’m proud to look up to you! also, welcome to the family 🐶❤️.”

Comedienne Whitney Cummings joked: “This pup is clearly being abused so I am on my way to rescue him from you.” Dry humor isn’t always decipherable via the printed word, causing more than one poster to question Cummings’ humor. @millie.ingham asked: “@whitneycummings what ?!”

In response, @mfapj responded: “@alyssaxcmariee Whitney Cummings is obviously kidding.” Another poster was also in the dark as to why anyone would want to take Aniston’s new puppy away from her.

“[I] didn’t know who she was until i clicked on her profile afterwards and realized who she was. my bad,” shared @alyssaxcmariee. “@alyssaxcmariee That’s okay,” @mfapj. “No biggie. You weren’t the only one.” Entertainment Hub congratulates Aniston on the latest addition to her family. She can be seen in Season 2 of The Morning Show with Reese Witherspoon on Apple TV in November.
