If you’re a fan of Stranger Things, there’s a good chance you know who Natalia Dyer is! Though she performed in a few other projects previously, she is definitely best known for playing Nancy Wheeler on the hit Netflix show.
Since the third season of Stranger Things is set to be released next month, now’s as good a time as any to learn more about the stars of the show. Here are five fast facts about Natalia Dyer.
Southern Girl
Dyer is from Nashville, Tennessee and attended the Nashville School of the Arts for high school. She moved to New York City after graduation in order to pursue her acting career.
First Comes Disney
Like a lot of actors around her age, Dyer’s first professional role was thanks to Disney. She was cast in Hannah Montana: The Movie as Clarissa Granger, which came out back in 2009.

Though she’s been in a few different movies, the first television role she ever had was on Stranger Things as Nancy Wheeler. In fact, it’s still the only television show that she’s ever appeared on.
Life Imitates Art
Dyer is currently dating her Stranger Things co-star Charlie Heaton, who plays Jonathan Byers. In the show, Jonathan and Nancy are interested in one another so this should make those onscreen moments of attraction much easier!

Along with doing movies and television, Dyer has also been in a music video. In fact, she was in James Bay’s music video for his song Wild Love back in 2018.
