Kristen Bell has got to be one of the most hardworking people in Hollywood. From starring as Eleanor Shellstrop on The Good Place to voicing Anna in Frozen to rebooting her hit show Veronica Mars, there’s really nothing this woman can’t do!
Though she’s an open book, there’s still a lot people don’t know about the star. Here are five fast facts about Kristen Bell that you need to know.
Bell was not a big fan of her first name and at the age of 4, her mom allowed her to go by her middle name, Anne, instead. In fact, she used the name “Annie” until high school but decided to go back to Kristen when she started acting.
After graduating high school, Bell moved to New York to attend the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. She was majoring in musical theater, but she decided to leave school during her senior year in order to take a role in the Broadway production of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

Oh, That Voice
Many people don’t know that Bell was actually the narrator on Gossip Girl for all six seasons. Though her face was never shown, her voice was in every single episode.
Bell has been with her husband, actor Dax Shepard, for over a decade and the two met in Los Angeles. However, what’s interesting is they’re actually both from Michigan and grew up not too far away from one another.
While many celebrities are fairly private about their struggles, Bell is very open about her issues with depression and anxiety. She went public with her depression struggles back in 2016 and revealed she takes medication and goes to therapy in order to help her feel better.
