Derek Peth has certainly cemented himself as a Bachelor Nation veteran over the past few years. Not only has he been on The Bachelorette, but he’s also about to go on Bachelor in Paradise for a second time.

In The Beginning…
Peth was born and raised in Waverly, Iowa, which is a small town in the Midwest. He has one younger sister named Rachel Peth. He was athletic growing up and ran track while attending Wartburg College. Prior to going on The Bachelorette, Peth was working in Florida as a commercial banker.
Failed Engagement
Peth was actually a cast member on Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise and fell in love with former Bachelor star Taylor Nolan. Peth and Nolan were inseparable throughout filming and got engaged during the season finale. However, less than a year after they got engaged, the couple called it quits.

New Reality Star Relationship?
After breaking things off with Nolan, Peth jumped back into the dating scene. In fact, he reportedly started dating The Hills star, Stephanie Pratt! Peth took Pratt out on a couple of dates and they seemed to hit it off, but it clearly didn’t last as he’s now on the new season of Bachelor in Paradise.
Bachelorette BFF
While countless people go on these Bachelor Nation shows to find love, it doesn’t always work out in the end. However, many contestants do end up making lifelong friends, which was the case for Peth and fellow Bachelorette/Bachelor in Paradise star, Wells Adams. They are true BFFs and frequently post about each other on Instagram.
Big City Dreams
Following his time on The Bachelorette and his first season of Bachelor in Paradise, Peth decided to pack up his life and move to New York City. He has been living in the big city for a couple of years now and is working in banking, but he also has a Bachelor podcast.
