It was a long road to this day on Empire for Jamal and Kai, as they prepared to become husband and husband, with Becky doing them the honor of performing the ceremony.
There was so much drama leading up to the wedding, as Jamal (Jussie Smollett) worried to his mom, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) that his father, Lucious (Terrence Howard), would once again disappoint him and shun him on his big day.
But all of that worrying was for nothing, as Lucious not only showed up but also told his son how proud of him he was — saying all the things that Jamal has longed to hear from him. Now the stage was literally set for the day to be the happiest one of his life.
