There’s no question the characters on Empire are in a massively tangled web. Not only are many of them related, but they all also seem to have relationships with one another and frequently break up and get back together.

In this flashback video, Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) and Andre (Trai Byers) find Anika (Grace Byers) throwing up in their bathroom. The immediate reason for that doesn’t come to mind for them though.

“Do you think it was something that we ate?” Rhonda asks before Anika says, “No it wasn’t anything we ate.” That’s when Anika drops the major bombshell — she’s pregnant. Watch the clip above to see how it all goes down.
