Former Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) contestant Tamar Braxton is officially calling it quits with husband Vincent Herbert. Braxton filed for divorce as of Tuesday in Los Angeles County.
Braxton and her husband were approaching their nine-year anniversary when they decided to end their marriage. The two first met in 2003 when Tamar’s sister, Toni Braxton, was working with Herbert and introduced them.
However, the DWTS Season 21 competitor and Herbert have been in a “roller coaster” relationship, sources told TMZ. The couple was involved in a domestic assault incident back in 2016 in Atlanta where Herbert allegedly bit Tamar’s hand at a hotel.

Tamar’s rep indicated that this was an “extremely difficult decision” for the singer and former DWTS contestant. The duo’s biggest concern is their 4-year-old son, Logan Vincent. They want to ensure his well being as they dissolve their union.
Singer Tamar Braxton previously appeared as a contestant on Dancing With the Stars Season 21 back in late 2015. She was partnered with Val Chmerkovskiy, but she ended up withdrawing from the competition on November 11, 2015, due to health issues.
In addition to her five albums and Dancing With the Stars appearance, Tamar has been a part of several other shows including Braxton Family Values, The Real, and Being Mary Jane.
