Colton Underwood is thanking his lucky stars he didn’t get engaged on television, but it’s maybe not for the reason you’d expect! The Bachelor star is happily dating Cassie Randolph, but they do plan on getting engaged in the future.
However, during an appearance on the LadyGang on Sunday, March 31, the 27-year-old revealed his girlfriend has a specific ring in mind.
The good news? He got his ring through Jimmy Kimmel, so he can trade it for something else!
“Allegedly you have to propose within a certain amount of time, like two years, or you have to give the ring back,” co-host Keltie Knight said during the episode.
“So actually, here’s the interesting thing. Technically Jimmy Kimmel and Neil Lane got me out of part of my contract with NZK Productions because normally when they gift the ring, you have to stay engaged in that contract,” Underwood explained.
“But since Kimmel and Neil Lane gifted it to me, then I don’t have to follow what’s in that contract.”

Thank goodness he got that squared away because it also sounds like Randolph isn’t such a big fan of the sparkler he originally picked out.
“I was told that I could trade it in. I didn’t order it!” Underwood reiterated, revealing the original ring is a double halo.
The former football player even called Randolph during the segment to let her explain why she wants something different.
“I just have a very particular idea in my mind,” she shared.
“Cass wants a gold, simple band, with an oval-cut [stone],” Colton confirmed.
But, don’t expect an engagement anytime soon, folks. These two are happy just dating for right now!
